The idea of using Floppy Diskettes for album packaging is not new. It has been done before by New Order, Porch Nap and some others but I have to say I find the new packaging of Science Vs. Witchcraft the best version so far. They used 5.25″ Floppy diskettes, took out the magnetic disk and […]
Chickenfoot, the new supergroup band which comprises Van Halen and Red Hot Chili Peppers members, launched their debut CD with an inventive packaging. The album packaging, when heated up by the simple touch of a hand, will change opacity, revealing hidden images on the cover and hidden song titles on the back cover. The packaging […]
The Simpsons has always been a great franchise, and the packaging for their movie soundtrack doesn’t miss a beat. Though unfortunately one aspect of the design comes across as a bit of a tease. The Krispy Kreme Box. Notice the blank space in the middle of the donut. Opening the box, so far so good. […]

However, this is not the best paper if your project is text-heavy. The light that bounces back from the glossy material will make the copy difficult to read. Matte The […]
When it comes to unique DVD packaging designs, the meat concept is not something so unique but I still find it clever. It is a bit conventional and, in a way, predictable especially if use it for a gore film like Texas Chainsaw Massacre or anything that has to do with meat. But what I […]
Remember that there are lots of considerations other than aesthetic appeal and budget when it comes to choosing the packaging for your CD or DVD. You can actually use any kind of case for your project but be ready to have some productions and shipping mishaps, delays, and big expenses. There are reasons why some […]
There are many reasons why the vinyl record format has been gaining popularity for the past years. It gives a better listening experience with the tactility and high sound quality. But aside from the obvious, the packaging of the format is also a big factor. Vinyl packaging has larger dimensions compared to any other physical […]
