Vinyl Package: Warp Anniversary Vinyl Record

A physical and digital experience designed for a celebrative, limited edition album by DJs Steve Aoki and The Bloody Beetroots.

CAROSELLO worked with DIM MAK, Steve Aoki’s label from California, on the design of a special package to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of Warp. The song by The Bloody Beetroots feat. Steve Aoki became a global hit in 2009 by mixing electronic sound with rock and punk elements. To express the peculiar style of the song and the premium character of this limited edition we created a very rich and bold range of visual material.

The blind embossed cover presents a sleek interpretation of the iconic lyrics “I just want, I just want”. Opening the cover reveals two handwritten stories by Steve and Bob, placed on top of a big artwork printed with silver foil, moving the general mood towards a more rough style. The vinyl sleeves present a couple of bespoke collage that can be combined to create two huge, full-body, punkish portraits of the artists. Finally, the vinyls are beautifully transparent and show the DIM MAK alarm clock from the 2009 video.
