Alex Goose redesigned the packaging of Style Wars. Style Wars is a documentary about the birth of graffiti and how it contributed to the hiphop culture. Directed by Tony Silver and produced by Tony Silver and Henry Chalfant, it was awarded the Grand Prize for Documentaries at the 1983 Sundance Film Festival. STYLE WARS is regarded as the indispensable document of New York Street culture and subway graffiti art of the early ’80s, the filmic record of a golden age of youthful creativity that exploded into the world from a city in crisis. Alex conveys the feeling and tone of the time period through color and texture. The black and white photography symbolizes the grit and poverty of the project housing complexes in NY. The color symbolizes the hope and positivity that hip-hop brought as an outlet to the youth in the community. _________________________________________________________________________ Unified Manufacturing is an L.A. -based one-stop-shop that offers very affordable CD/DVD/USB replication, custom printing, promotional products, warehousing and fulfillment and many more.
