DVD Packaging: Why Digipacks Rule!

DVD Digipacks are probably the most beautiful of all DVD cases. They have this certain X factor that makes them look 5 times more sophisticated than the standard jewel cases and DVD wallets.  DVD Digipacks are made of thick cardboard paper and have plastic trays inside that are similar to the jewel case. The cardboard paper may be matte or glossy to fit your taste and to fit the overall appeal of your DVD packaging.

One of the best reasons why I prefer DVD Digipacks is that DVD jewel cases are just too boring. The jewel case is used by the majority and there is a very big disadvantage to this especially if you want your DVD packaging to grab attention (who doesn’t, anyway). Everytime I take a trip in a DVD store, the ones I notice first are the DVDs that are not packaged in a standard DVD jewel case. My eyes are too used to seeing jewel cases that anything that’s not a jewel case instantly grabs my attention. And usually, the ones I am drawn to are the ones packaged in DVD Digipacks.

Another good thing about DVD Digipacks is that they are eco-friendly. The only part of the DVD Digipack that is made of plastic is the DVD tray inside so not only do the DVD Digipacks look appealing, they are also very gentle to mother earth.  Now that is just amazing!

What is more amazing is that DVD Digipacks are friendly to nature without compromising quality and function. Don’t you just hate it when a product gets way too eco-friendly that it has completely forgotten its main purpose? I’ve seen some cardboard packaging that try to become 100% eco-friendly that they are so flimsy, so unfit for protecting and containing the products, and/or so unappealing. This is not the case of DVD Digipacks.  With DVD Digipacks, the quality and the functionality are assured. They are eco-friendly in that they use cardboard for the panels but they give importance to the security and protection of the discs by using plastic tray cards. The plastic tray card is very important because it keeps the DVD in place and prevents it from having scratches. Other DVD cases that use 100% cardboard do not provide the same security as what the DVD Digipacks offer.

DVD Digipacks may cost a few cents higher because they are not as common as the standard jewel case. Because there are only relatively fewer DVD Digipacks being produced in the market, this means the raw product and the production costs of DVD Digipacks are higher. But I am sure you are willing to pay a few cents more if it significantly adds to the appeal of your film.

If you want your DVD to stand out in the DVD stands, then choose DVD Digipacks!
