It instantly made me think of the artists - musicians, filmmakers, actors, etc…they are the kind of people who are doing ‘dangerous’ and bold things. People look up to them and secretly (and not so secretly) admire them for their talents, and more importantly, for their courage to remain dreamers.
Style.
What is it? Who has it and who doesn’t?
For me, Style is grace. Style is character. Style is like charm but much cooler. For me, You have style when you're doing 20 things at once but you still have the ability to laugh. You have style when you have a fashionable and graceful way of doing something which makes people love you or hate you (but not because you're annoying but because you're evil;-p).
And I think you do not have style when you’re trying to be somebody else, when you’re whining too much, when it’s too obvious that you’re trying too hard to impress others. When you can't think of anything else but your album sales. When you're too worried to lose something or to ruin something.
In other words, when you're taking your music career and yourself too seriously that you become a boring/ annoying person.
Now, I do not mean you should always play it cool. I am an avid fan of grunt work and I believe it’s the shortest path to success. What I’m talking about is that try your hardest, work real hard on achieving success in your music career, but as much as possible do not look desperate and never make desperate moves or say desperate remarks. Never step on other artists just to get what you want. Never say bad things about other artist because gossiping is never classy. Don’t take everything too seriously. And never let the music business ruin your relationship with music.
Happy Friday!
________________________________________________________________
Unified Manufacturing is an L.A. -based one-stop-shop that offers very affordable CD/DVD/USB replication, custom printing, promotional products, warehousing and fulfillment and many more.
