There is also the very subtle ALICE COOPER across the top of the album via a light red hue shift. This is one of the few Alice Cooper covers that doesn\u2019t feature the man himself. Yeah, I think they copied this from Alice Cooper. But then again, the texty concept is not so unusual anyway. Nevertheless, still looks more appealing compared to most album covers nowadays.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Torch Songs by Jonathan Coleclough and Andrew Liles<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5242\" title=\"die-stadt-11\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/die-stadt-11-520x347.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>The text was written during their performance, brush sounds incorporated into the recordings.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Production and Decay by Spatial Relations<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5249\" title=\"die-stadt-7\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/die-stadt-7-520x347.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>Reissue of original vinyl release on CD retains the 12\u2033 format with pouch for CDs. Basic design ethos is attractive in this hybrid approach.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Go 2 by XTC<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5244\" title=\"xtc_go_2_cover_500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/xtc_go_2_cover_500.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Go_2\">XTC\u2019s Go 2<\/a> is designed by Hipgnosis,\u00a0 the UK design group that brought us some of the most original and memorable covers for bands like Pink Floyd, Genesis, etc. Hipgnosis\u2019s trademark story like imagery is replaced by copy poking fun at the art form.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Album_-_Generic_Flipper\">Generic Flipper by Flipper<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5247\" title=\"generic_flipper_280\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/generic_flipper_280.jpg\" alt=\"cd packaging\" width=\"600\" height=\"579\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>Here&#8217;s an abum with the same &#8220;anti-art&#8221; mockery as XTC&#8217;s Go 2. How profound, right?<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Once Upon a Time in the West by Hard Fi<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5248\" title=\"hard-fi_once_upon_cover\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hard-fi_once_upon_cover.jpg\" alt=\"cd packaging\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hard-fi_once_upon_cover.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hard-fi_once_upon_cover-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/hard-fi_once_upon_cover-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>and here&#8217;s another one. Hard-Fi have been patting themselves on the back for \u201cbreaking the rules\u201d for their 2007 Once Upon A Time in the West release&#8230;.err, but everybody knows it&#8217;s not original. The Times have a better article regarding this <a href=\"http:\/\/entertainment.timesonline.co.uk\/tol\/arts_and_entertainment\/music\/article2155524.ece\">found here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Come to Daddy by Aphex Twin<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5251\" title=\"cometodaddy_cd2_right\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/cometodaddy_cd2_right.gif\" alt=\"cd packaging\" width=\"600\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Designers Republic used a similar treatment in 1997 for the 2nd print of Aphex Twin\u2019s Come to Daddy. I don&#8217;t find this very impressive, though.
