It topped two charts in the US Billboard and was <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AmfNAaK23UU\">loved for the music video<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that showcased the performer clothed with Fendi apparel from head to toe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36069\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/first-ever-music-album-Priceless..jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/first-ever-music-album-Priceless..jpg 1080w, https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/first-ever-music-album-Priceless.-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/first-ever-music-album-Priceless.-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/first-ever-music-album-Priceless.-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/first-ever-music-album-Priceless.-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/first-ever-music-album-Priceless.-600x600.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Several steps further from this is Mastercard\u2019s release of their <\/span><strong>first-ever music album <i>Priceless<\/i>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Released this year on the twenty-second day of June, it was unveiled during the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity and was available first on Spotify, then to other streaming platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The album comprises ten songs, from 10 different artists from all around the world, each having the signature melody of Mastercard\u2019s brand sound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This music album release from a brand that has in no way had any connection to the music industry is such a powerful move. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As far as my research has gone, this is the first-ever release of a music album outside of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/green-music-industry\/\">music industry<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The fact that the songs were composed by different people from different places around the globe shows Mastercard\u2019s eagerness to create a strong connection with not just one group of customers, and it\u2019s such a smart move from them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They just made their brand even more global than it already is.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mastercard\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Priceless<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> release followed Coca-Cola Company\u2019s early June introduction of <\/span><strong>Sprite\u2019s Sprite Limelight<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36070\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Sprites-Sprite-Limelight..webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"304\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a global music program that featured three creatively and culturally distinct artists, namely: American rapper Coi Leray, African singer-songwriter and social media sensation Omah Lay, and Chinese pop-rock singer Hua Chenyu. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The artists were provided with a lyrical hook, from Grammy-winning producer James Blake, in which they find inspiration in creating their very own original songs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you see the similarities? They got artists with different backgrounds. Plus, the songs from both releases had one unifying element, the signature melody for Mastercard and the lyrical hook for Sprite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now the question still lingers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36076\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Now-the-question-still-lingers..gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/branding-for-your-band\/\"><strong>Can releasing an album enhance a brand\u2019s value? <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To answer this with all honesty, I would say that it depends. I say this because it all really depends on how you do it and what image you want to achieve with the release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s take for example the brands Mastercard and Sprite. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They wanted to promote their global image, what better way to succeed in this endeavor than to have musicians that your global customers can connect to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If these brands decided to have a single artist create and produce all these songs, I\u2019m sure that not all of their customers would feel as strongly connected to the songs as they had with the current songs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choosing the artist that would work on the songs they\u2019ll be releasing is also an important thing to be decided on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It would be best to work with artists that have a wider audience reach or an audience reach that your brand hasn\u2019t reached yet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, your brand already has a lot of Asian customers, but you noticed that Chinese customers are low. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have to try reaching out to a locally popular Chinese musician. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This move will help you reach the Chinese market and have an increase in Chinese customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36074\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Raja-Rajamannar.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As Mastercard&#8217;s chief marketing and communications officer, Raja Rajamannar, said, \u201cPeople are engaging more with audio through wearables, IoT (Internet of Things).\u201d Taking what he said into account leads us to the conclusion that sonic marketing is not something that can be easily passed up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It must be done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Though I suggest doing it gradually and at your own pace.
