We\u2019re back with another list of <\/span>best album covers 2000s<\/b>, because that\u2019s what we\u2019re all about.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve got 25 of them and they\u2019re ranked based on the albums\u2019 popularity among music lovers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a list of the best album covers of the 2000s. I hope you find at least one that you\u2019d want to add to your collection.<\/span><\/p>\n

#1. LIL WAYNE – THA CARTER III\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Tha Carter III<\/span><\/i> is the sixth studio album by Lil\u2019 Wayne which was released in 2008. <\/span><\/p>\n

Apparently the album cover was inspired by Nas and Notorious B.I.G.’s Illmatic and <\/span>Ready to Die<\/span><\/i>, respectively. All three features a baby picture of the artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

#2. TOOL – LATERALUS<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Lateralus<\/span><\/i> by Tool has a very intriguing album cover since it features the different layers of the human body. The cover was done by artist Alex Grey. <\/span><\/p>\n

Another cool thing is that the 12-inch vinyl records<\/strong><\/a> are designed with a diagram of the human body.<\/span><\/p>\n

#3. ANDREW W.K. – I GET WET\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Andrew W.K.\u2019s <\/span>I Get Wet<\/span><\/i> is a very recognizable cover art from the 2000s. <\/span><\/p>\n

It features a shot by famed art photographer Roe Ethridge. It is a headshot photo of Andrew with wet hair and a large stream of blood running from his nose until his throat.<\/span><\/p>\n

#4. RADIOHEAD – HAIL TO THE THIEF\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Hail to the Thief<\/span><\/i> features an album cover created by artist Stanley Donwood. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is a road map of Hollywood which was replaced with words taken from the roadside advertising in Los Angeles.<\/span><\/p>\n

#5. METALLICA – ST. ANGER<\/b><\/h3>\n

Lars Ulrich, Metallica\u2019s drummer, has said that their eight album <\/span>St. Anger<\/span><\/i> was recorded by the band in a way that would \u201churt the listeners\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

This directly explained why the band chose to have the red fist restrained by a gray string as the artwork for their album\u2019s cover.<\/span><\/p>\n

It explains the violence that can be virtually felt by the listeners.<\/span><\/p>\n

#6. BRAND NEW – THE DEVIL AND GOD ARE RAGING INSIDE ME<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Brand New\u2019s third studio album, <\/span>The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me<\/span><\/i>, is not only a good album to listen to. It also possesses a good album cover that you would surely enjoy looking at while listening to it. <\/span><\/p>\n

It features two people wearing black coats with hoodies and a white monstrous masks and a little girl hiding from them. <\/span><\/p>\n

The little girl’s expression helps us infer that the two may be kidnappers waiting for her to either go outside or returning from playtime.<\/span><\/p>\n

#7. DEFTONES – SATURDAY NIGHT WRIST\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Deftones\u2019 <\/span>Saturday Night Wrist<\/span><\/i> has an artwork for its album that shows a girl with her head overly raised towards the sky. <\/span><\/p>\n

The girl, according to Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, is the band\u2019s drummer\u2019s sister Georgia Graham, who was apparently 10 years old at that time.<\/span><\/p>\n

#8. THE WHITE STRIPES – GET BEHIND ME SATAN\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Get Behind Me Satan <\/span><\/i>is a title inspired from a line from the story of the Temptation of Jesus. With the duo\u2019s signature black, red, and white color scheme for their albums, the red and black dominated album suggests the dark theme. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to that both are facing the opposite placing the each other behind themselves with one of their hands appearing to reach out for the other.<\/span><\/p>\n

#9. PANDA BEAR – PERSON PITCH<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Person Pitch<\/span><\/i> is Panda Bear\u2019s third solo album that has songs that will make you feel that tribal, ecstatic, eerie, and child-like feelings. Not only will you feel it through the tracks but also through the pieces of art that come with it. <\/span><\/p>\n

The cover art of the album features brightly colored kids and animals, tiger, gorilla, seal, etc., inside a pool, which is something surreal.<\/span><\/p>\n

#10. YEAH YEAH YEAHS – IT’S BLITZ!<\/b><\/h3>\n

This is either a shot that was captured at the right moment or a shot that was picked among the other shots which were continuously taken during the crushing. Either way, it sure is a great one. <\/span><\/p>\n

The cool spreading of the egg white into different directions, with the yolk separating from its shell at the center of it all, makes it look magnificently great, like it was manipulated.<\/span><\/p>\n

#11. GRIZZLY BEAR – YELLOW HOUSE<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

American indie rock band, Grizzly Bear, released their second studio album titled <\/span>Yellow House<\/span><\/i> in 2006. <\/span><\/p>\n

The title of the album refers to the house of vocalist Ed Droste\u2019s mother\u2019s house where they did most of the recording for the album. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since the title is \u201cYellow House\u201d the photo on the cover is a part of the house, and I\u2019m guessing it\u2019s Droste\u2019s mother\u2019s.<\/span><\/p>\n

#12. LA ROUX – LA ROUX<\/b><\/h3>\n

La Roux, once a duo now only consists of Elly Jackson, released their eponymous debut album in 2009 and had peaked at #2 on the UK Albums Chart<\/a><\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The album\u2019s cover art is a digital art of the androgynous member Elly Jackson.<\/span><\/p>\n

#13. DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE – TRANSATLANTICISM<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Transatlanticism<\/span><\/i> is Death Cab for Cutie\u2019s fourth studio album. The album cover<\/strong><\/a> is a very great representation of what the album and its title is all about. <\/span><\/p>\n

You see, the term \u201ctransatlanticism\u201d was defined by Ben Gibbard as the \u201cincomprehensible emotional gap between two lovers separated by comprehensible distances.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

The black bird tangled in red strings is trapped, meaning they can\u2019t reach out to their loved one.<\/span><\/p>\n

#14. THE STREETS – ORIGINAL PIRATE MATERIAL <\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Streets\u2019 <\/span>Original Pirate Material<\/span><\/i> is a good album with lyrics that tell stories about the life of the working-class in Britain. <\/span>The album\u2019s front cover features a hotel or condominium building with some lights turned on or off. <\/span><\/p>\n

The two yellow custom colored vinyl records<\/a><\/strong> are housed by inner sleeves printed with people that I think are tenants of the building.<\/span><\/p>\n

#15. T.I. – KING<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

T.I.\u2019s fourth studio album, <\/span>King<\/span><\/i>, has a black and white color scheme. It runs through the cover art all the way to the vinyl records of the album. <\/span><\/p>\n

The cover features T.I. with half of his face shown by the light while he\u2019s wearing a white cap. The two custom vinyl records<\/strong><\/a> were colored half black and half white.<\/span><\/p>\n

#16. <\/b>BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW – EATING US<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Black Moth Super Rainbow\u2019s <\/span>Eating Us<\/span><\/i> is perhaps the shortest studio album from the band with a running time of under 36 minutes. <\/span><\/p>\n

It was released in 2009 on CD format and was finally released on custom vinyl record<\/a><\/strong> after 10 years by Graveface Records.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The cover artwork is quite intriguing as it features a blurred shot of a man which was digitally edited with a woman\u2019s crying face.<\/span><\/p>\n

#17. ATLAS SOUND – LOGOS<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Atlas Sound is Bradford Cox\u2019s moniker for his solo works, and <\/span>Logos<\/span><\/i> is his second studio album which was released in 2009. It also featured Noah Lennox and L\u00e6titia Sadier. <\/span><\/p>\n

The album cover<\/strong><\/a> is a photo of Cox, who has Marfan Syndrome from his hips up with a ball of shining light put over his face.<\/span><\/p>\n

#18. <\/b>BELLE & SEBASTIAN – DEAR CATASTROPHE WAITRESS\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Dear Catastrophe Waitress<\/span><\/i> is the Scottish indie pop band Belle & Sebastian\u2019s sixth studio album released in 2003. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first pressing released for this album had a different album cover<\/strong><\/a> with the same sepia tone. <\/span>The latest cover was the cover the band wanted to originally use and it was released in 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

#19. CHROMATICS – NIGHT DRIVE<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Night Drive<\/span><\/i> was released in 2003 and was reissued in 2010 in a \u201cDeluxe Edition\u201d. The reissue is an analogue remaster where side A and B vinyl record<\/a> was colored in blue and white while side C and D were on red vinyl record<\/a><\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The deluxe edition has the same design as the original, however the \u201cIV\u201d on the side was gone and the colors were different. Instead of a white background we have black and the telephone and hair color is blue.<\/span><\/p>\n

#20. MUSE – ABSOLUTION<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Absolution<\/span><\/i> is a studio album by Muse which has a heavier and darker musical tone paired with lyrics that focus on theological and apocalyptic concepts. <\/span><\/p>\n

With the theme set in place, we see the artwork on the cover is laying it out visually. <\/span><\/p>\n

The artist explained that the character looking up at the sky, which is a girl, sees \u201ca squadron of giant flying people passing overhead\u201d which we only see through their shadows which were maybe on their way to absolution.<\/span><\/p>\n

#21. GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR – LIFT YOUR SKINNY FISTS LIKE ANTENNAS TO HEAVEN<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This album with a long ass title is the second studio album from one of the bands with a long ass name. GY!BE released their album <\/span>Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven<\/span><\/i>, more often than not shortened to <\/span>Lift Your Skinny Fists<\/span><\/i> or <\/span>LYSF<\/span><\/i>, in 2000. <\/span><\/p>\n

The album cover is very minimalistic with two red circles that seem to radiate and pulse and within the circles is a drawing of a pair of hands.<\/span><\/p>\n

#22. SPOON – KILL THE MOONLIGHT\u00a0 <\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Spoon released their fourth studio album <\/span>Kill the Moonlight<\/span><\/i> on August 20, 2002. It features a stripped down and minimal sound that was praised by the public and was even regarded as the band\u2019s magnum opus. The album cover<\/strong><\/a> was from a series of photos by Kristin Oppenheim, called <\/span>After Dark My Sweet<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

#23. FUCKED UP – THE CHEMISTRY OF COMMON LIFE<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Chemistry of Common Life<\/span><\/i>\u2019s album cover is one that shows the phenomenon of Manhattanhenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the phenomenon where the sunsets and sunrises align with Manhattan\u2019s east-west streets of the main street.<\/span><\/p>\n

#24. BEIRUT – GULAG ORKESTAR<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"best<\/p>\n

Beirut\u2019s debut album <\/span>Gulag Orkestar<\/span><\/i> is named after the Gulag, which was a Soviet government agency administering criminal justice. The \u201corkester\u201d is a Croatian word which means orchestra. <\/span><\/p>\n

The album cover<\/strong><\/a> features two girls with a car, one is sitting at the center front part of the hood with crossed legs while the other is sitting on the left side with her hands half covering her mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n

#25. BECK SEA CHANGE<\/b><\/h3>\n

Beck\u2019s <\/span>Sea Change<\/span><\/i> has an album cover<\/a><\/strong> that greatly depicts the heartbreak he experienced after his longtime girlfriend broke up with him. <\/span><\/p>\n

We can see that Beck\u2019s headshot is digitally edited to add some of the brush paints on his face which accentuates the sadness in his eyes.<\/span><\/p>\n
