Vinyl records have exploded in the last decade and their demand is incredibly high,\u201d White says in the video. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And according to the latest market report from Technavio, it is true.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He urges the three global labels to build their own pressing plants again because he claims that it will benefit the music industry, and I couldn\u2019t agree more. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With these three big labels having their own pressing plants, independent artists and small-time artists won\u2019t need to compete with them to have their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/\"><strong>vinyl pressings<\/strong><\/a> done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-35300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/JACK-WHITE.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, White says that this is not about big and small labels, \u201c&#8230; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it\u2019s not independent versus mainstream, it\u2019s not even punk versus pop. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The issue is, simply, we have ALL created an environment where the unprecedented demand for vinyl records cannot keep up with the rudimentary supply of them.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And since these three big music labels have the means, why would he not reach out to them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aside from making artists\u2019 waiting game shorter, three additional pressing plants from these groups would also mean help for other pressing plants. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sure there will be more players in the market and fewer customers running to a plant, but at least pressing plants will be able to ease their shoulders a bit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since there will be fewer pending orders to think about, they will be able to have better production results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here is the full written statement for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.com\/\">Sony<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.warnerbros.com\/\">Warner<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universalmusic.com\/\">Universal Music Group<\/a> by White:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At least once a week, without fail, someone will reach out asking me to help expedite their vinyl record manufacturing.
