As much as you need to focus on creating music, you will need to do the same with creating your merch. You can\u2019t half-ass this because it also speaks of your brand and image. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to have a successful merch release, you will need to be meticulous with everything\u2014from the <\/span>custom merch maker<\/a><\/strong> you order from, to the kind of merch you want to release.<\/span><\/p>\n

#1. MITSKI\u2019S LOCK AND SPOON<\/b><\/h3>\n

Two from the collection are one of the most unique merch ideas. I\u2019m talking about the red locks and ramen spoons printed with the words “Free the Cowboy” and \u201cFeed the Cowboy\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

You see, you don’t need crazy, expensive stuff if you have a good concept and good copywriting skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

#3. POPPY\u2019 POP X MI MERCH<\/b><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>pop x mi<\/span><\/i><\/a> merch line by Poppy, is the only one on the list that gets full marks for all the items in the collection. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is praised for the items\u2019 quality and aesthetic designs. <\/span><\/p>\n

Though it\u2019s a bit pricy, fans we\u2019re willing to pay for it.<\/span><\/p>\n

#4. RAMMSTEIN\u2019S RUM<\/b><\/h3>\n

The rum merch was an unexpected and very clever decision from Rammstein.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was cool and very original, however, a fan found it fell short due to the name. It would have been better if they had called it \u201cRummstein\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

#5. ALY & AJ\u2019S DISPOSABLE CAMERAS<\/b><\/h3>\n

Aly and Aj\u2019s disposable camera is a cool merch idea.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s such a unique and novel idea which will surely attract not just fans but others. It has pre-taken photos too which buyers can have when they decide to develop it.<\/span><\/p>\n

#6. LUCY ROSE\u2019S SPECIAL TEA AND CHOCOLATE BARS\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Lucy Rose is a veteran in the race of innovative merch ideas. <\/span><\/p>\n

She always delivers with the merch she has released so far. She had her own special tea as well as chocolate bars.<\/span><\/p>\n

#7. KACEY MUSGRAVES\u2019 GRINDER\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>Happy & Sad Herb Grinder<\/span><\/i> from Kacey Musgraves is from her merch collection for <\/span>Golden Hour<\/span><\/i>. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s another novel idea that no other musician had ever thought of. It\u2019s color and quality also add to its attractiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n

#8. LADY GAGA\u2019S CHROMATICA JOCKSTRAP<\/b><\/h3>\n

Lady Gaga\u2019s <\/span>Chromatica<\/span><\/i> merch collection includes tons of different items, both usual and unusual ones. <\/span><\/p>\n

One of the unusual ones is this Chromatica jockstrap. Though its unusual, people loved it, especially the members of the LGBTQIA+ that use them.<\/span><\/p>\n

WORST MERCH<\/b><\/h2>\n

Some of these items are cool but then again, it’s the fans rated them badly.<\/p>\n

Check these out and judge for yourself if they should be in the “worst” list.<\/p>\n

#1. AZEALIA BANK\u2019S BUSSY BOY SOAP<\/b><\/h3>\n

Bussy Boy by Azealia Banks was heavily criticized.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a soap product for the brightening and tightening of a boy\u2019s butthole.<\/span> It was said to be anti-odor and anti-itch, however, it apparently had cheap quality and was nothing special.<\/span><\/p>\n

#2. MAGGIE ROGERS\u2019 PENCIL SET<\/b><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s quite confusing how a musician could think of having this as a merch they can sell. It\u2019s a pencil set that\u2019s worth $10 per set. <\/span><\/p>\n

When we add the shipping, it makes it more than $2 per pencil! Quite a ridiculous price for 5 unsharpened cheap-looking pencils, don\u2019t you think?<\/span><\/p>\n

#3. PLAYBOI CARTI\u2019S MERCH<\/b><\/h3>\n

If we have a whole collection for the best merch we also have it for the worst. <\/span><\/p>\n

And that title belongs to Playboi Carti\u2019s merch collection for his album <\/span>Whole Lotta Red<\/span><\/i>. Fans were disappointed with how the planning and designing were done lazily that resulted in the \u2018ugly\u2019 merch items.<\/span><\/p>\n

#4. LOONA\u2019S AIR FRESHENERS AND CHAIRS<\/b><\/h3>\n

Fans are disappointed with the merch choices LOONA\u2019s management has. <\/span><\/p>\n

Their fans wanted the simple hoodies and shirts with the usual logos and such. They didn\u2019t like the air fresheners and chairs they released.<\/span><\/p>\n

Clearly, not every novel idea is well accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n

#5. LADY GAGA\u2019S CHROMATICA SOAP<\/b><\/h3>\n

Like Bussy Boy, Lady Gaga\u2019s Chromatica soap does not have any exceptional qualities. <\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally,<\/span> there was no list of ingredients included in the package which was alarming. It would have been better to have removed it from the collection.<\/span><\/p>\n

#6. ARIANA GRANDE\u2019S SHIRTS<\/b><\/h3>\n

Apparently, Ariana Grande\u2019s clothing merchandise has always been cheap. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s always of low quality which gives an impression of lack of consideration for what fans want.<\/span><\/p>\n

#7. GFRIEND\u2019S BODY PILLOW <\/b><\/h3>\n

\u00a0#8 OLIVIA RODRIGO\u2019S SOUR BEAD EARRINGS AND SWEATSHIRT<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s Sour merch collection was a failure. <\/span><\/p>\n

It disappointed many fans with the quality of the sweatshirts and the bead earrings. <\/span>The sweatshirts were not the same with the ones displayed in Rodrigo’s shop, it looked cheaper. <\/span><\/p>\n

The bead earrings also fell short of fan\u2019s expectations when the word \u2018sour\u2019 was misspelled.<\/span><\/p>\n
