However, this is not the best paper if your project is text-heavy. The light that bounces back from the glossy material will make the copy difficult to read.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matte<\/strong><br \/>\nThe coating on matte sheets diffuses the light. Unlike glossy paper wherein the rays are reflected back to the reader&#8217;s eyes, the rays are scattered with matte. Best option if your CD or DVD package has plenty of text.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dull<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Matte coating is slightly less shiny than dull coated paper and under close scrutiny may even appear a bit mottled. Dull-coated sheets are slightly more expensive than matte.<\/p>\n<p>______________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRINTING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Spot UV<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/foldersandringbinders.co_.uk-angle_4884.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16412\" title=\"spot UV printing\" src=\"https:\/\/unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/foldersandringbinders.co_.uk-angle_4884.jpeg\" alt=\"cardboard printing\" width=\"450\" height=\"325\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis process is more effective if the background is matte.\u00a0This is a screen printed process where certain areas of a design are selected and the varnish is applied only to these areas. A spot UV is often applied over pictures to make them grab more attention.<\/p>\n<p>This does not work well for very fine detail and text because the varnish does spread a teeny tiny amount. Although it won\u2019t get noticed on large elements, it probably will for the finer details.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Foil Stamping<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/foil-business-cards-13.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16413\" title=\"foil stamp cardboard\" src=\"https:\/\/unifiedmanufacturing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/foil-business-cards-13.jpg\" alt=\"foil stamped cardboard\" width=\"450\" height=\"363\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can add more glitter and glamour to your DVD Digipack by foil stamping it. Any graphical elements with foil will shine and pop from afar.
