Unified Manufacturing Opens New Facility in Fishers, Indiana

In an effort to cut costs for its’ two major Indiana-based clients, Fontana Distributions and Universal Music, Unified manufacturing is pleased to announce the opening of its’ newest CD manufacturing plant in Fishers, IN.

“This will save our clients thousands of dollars in shipping costs because our plant can deliver the product directly to the client, “ said James Hill, CEO of Unified Manufacturing. “In this economy it’s important that we look for ways to make people’s lives easier. I think the cost savings and not having to deal with the hassle of shipping will help streamline the process for Fontana and Universal, “ Hill continued, “I was actually looking to lessen the environmental impact of shipping such large quantities of CDs across the country and the cost savings was just an added bonus we were happy to pass on to the client.”

Unified Manufacturing manufactures 30-40% of Fontana Distributions for their major releases and promotional CDs. Universal music and many other loyal clients are also located in Indiana. Before they opened a facility in Fishers, Unified shipped from their Valencia Facility which is halfway across the country.

Jacob Cap from Executive Music, a long-term client of Unified Manufacturing, states that he loves working with Unified but is concerned with the rising shipping costs and the decline in CD sales. He said “Every penny counts in this business so it’s very important for us to save as much money. We ship so many products there [Indiana], that I told them flat out that shipping was a problem.”

Santa Monica, CA. January 25, 2011 – Unified Manufacturing, leader of Eco-friendly CD/DVD/Vinyl packaging and promotional products, is pleased to announce that they have come up with one more way to eliminate the carbon footprint of their media manufacturing company – a Project Management Site.

Since the birth of Unified Manufacturing 10 years ago, the company has always made sure that they have exhausted their efforts in eliminating the carbon footprint of the products and services they offer. James Hill, CEO and owner, is an environmental advocate and he sees to it that Unified Manufacturing is up-to-date with the latest ways to eliminate carbon footprint.

Unified Manufacturing is known to be one of the few media manufacturers in the US that use 100% wind-driven facilities in all aspects of production. Unified also uses soy-based inks, recycled materials, wafer seals, and they offer green packaging options like eco jewel cases, CD mailers, CD jackets, etc.

100% Eco-Friendly DVD Packaging for Atlas Films Latest Documentary

Unified Manufacturing makes 100% Eco-friendly DVD packaging for Atlas Films’ latest environmental documentary.

Unified Manufacturing recently produced an eco- friendly DVD for the environmental documentary, Tapped by Atlas Films. Atlas Films is an independent film company that produces films with the goal to educate, entertain and promote social and environmental consciousness. Because of the independent film company’s advocacy, Atlas Films collaborated with Unified Manufacturing in making 100% eco-friendly DVD packaging.

Unified Manufacturing made a cardboard sleeve that is made of 100% recycled material. The record sleeve and disc art is printed with pure soy-based ink. Unlike traditional petroleum-based ink, the natural components of soy-based ink make it more eco-friendly and make recycling paper easier.

In an effort to avis plastic shrink wrap, Unified Manufacturing opted for a wafer seal.

Tapped illustrates the impact of the global water crisis on America and what individuals can do to enact change sooner rather than later. Tapped examines the role of the bottled water industry and its effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and our reliance on oil.
