The idea of using Floppy Diskettes for album packaging is not new. It has been done before by New Order, Porch Nap and some others but I have to say I find the new packaging of Science Vs. Witchcraft the best version so far. They used 5.25″ Floppy diskettes, took out the magnetic disk and replaced it with their CD (Yes they do fit perfectly). They also went two steps further and made a pixilated custom sleeves & label that resembles an old 1980’s PC game. The most unusual add-on happens when you put the CD in your computer. It will pop up with a text-based adventure game that one of the band members wrote himself. It’s definitely worth checking out.
